Literally: "root" and "to attach"
Netsuke are miniature sculptures otiginally from Japan.
They are used to attach the Inro, a small, multipart wooden box on pocketless kimono.
Traditional Netsukes are usually made of ivory.
My carvings are made in boxwood and differ considerably from the traditional.
The road is long, but the longest journey begins with the first step.
Enjoy it!
